Wholesale Showroom Design Services

Basic Services:

Project Evaluation:

Review each line, define targeted buyers, discuss way line is typically sold, and determine traffic flow based in showroom location. Determine client’s needs and objectives including product types, lines and the respective quantities and merchandise to be featured in each.

Layout:

Draw basic plan staring with existing market center CAD files or site measurements. Place and indicate dimensions of new walls. Locate freestanding fixtures and reception desk. Design showroom to accommodate and direct expected traffic, emphasize key merchandise, and provide future flexibility. Indicate location of all lines and product categories.

Specify Fixed Merchandising Systems:

Specify location and type of fixed merchandising systems such as slotwall, puck systems and outriggers.

Showroom Finishes:

Select floor coverings, paint colors, wallcoverings, and ceiling for the showroom.

Coordination and Consultation:

Coordinate and consult by phone, fax, email with clients and contractors throughout design and construction process.

Special Design Features:

Develop Themed Concepts:

Develop special design concepts such as themes or multimedia features.

Design Special Features:

Design showroom facade, logo, featured display areas, etc. Provide scaled drawings of special design features which indicate the materials, sources, dimensions and the application of all materials and products used.

Lighting:

Layout, Specifications and Switching:

Placement of light fixtures and electrical and communication outlets will be provided. Fixtures and lamps will be specified. Lighting will be calculated to illuminate general showroom, highlight feature displays, and create desired look for each category of products.

Display Fixtures and Hardware:

Display Fixtures:

Select and specify showroom fixtures. Provide plans of custom fixtures needed to display products as identified in project evaluation and indicated on layout.

Reception Desk:

Design reception desk to meet the functional needs, equipment requirements, and preferences of owner, showroom staff, buyers and manufacturer's representatives. Provide detailed drawings.

Signage:

Develop Interior Signage Program:

Specify sign materials, layout, fonts, installation process and hardware or holders. Specify holders and hardware. Prepare initial signs for acrylic holders and provide computer files of sign layouts to be maintained by client.

Showroom Facade Signage:

Design and specify materials for showroom sign. Submit to market center for approval if required.

Merchandising:

Props:

Select and arrange delivery of props needed to effectively set up and illustrate use of line's merchandise and to support showroom concept and theme.

Installation:

After merchandise has been unpacked and tagged by showroom staff, arrange and install merchandise and props on fixtures and merchandising systems. Aim adjustable lighting to accent key features.

Trips to Site :

Project Evaluation and Consultation:

Initial trip to evaluate project and discuss needs. Trips to review progress during construction or work with photographer if advertising and publicity photos are desired.

Project Management:

Bidding Phase:

Send plans and specifications out for bids by contractors. Answer questions during bidding phase. Receive, review and evaluate bids and report to owner.

Construction Phase:

During construction phase, review and coordinate contractor’s schedule to meet owners requirements. On agreed schedule, review work in progress and answer questions. Update and advise owner throughout construction process. Review construction invoices submitted for payment to owner prior to payment.
